My name is María del Molino Matamala and besides being a woman and a mother, I am a musician and maker of my reality. Music is my life, it is everything to me. I also have a deep love for languages and their richness and musicality. The different languages that go beyond words attract my attention powerfully. I did my piano studies at the Conservatory of music, yes, I followed a very methodical and academic teaching to discover later that the sound and its vibrations went far beyond the academic. In 2005 I attended my first concert of Tibetan bowls and voice performed by Jacomina Kistermaker in Galicia and I felt that a fascinating world was opening up for me. From that moment on, I couldn’t stop and kept investigating more and more about the healing power of sound and voice. This search continues today.
I consider myself a Troubadour and a shaman of the voice. I look for the truth in the sound of stars, of the vibrant spheres. I am the guardian of life and ancestral memories, I take care of all beings with my voice, I honour the Goddess in all her manifestations and I celebrate each cycle that life bring us.
I am fascinated by the magic of the cosmos and its dance, the mistery that we are. I am at the service of Mother Earth and its elemental kingdoms. I admire the wild woman that I am.
Training
- Degree in English Philology and French Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid and studies of piano at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Segovia and the “Joaquín Turina” of Madrid.
- French teacher for more than 20 years in Secondary Schools.
- Workshops of Tibetan bowls, gongs and voice with Jacomina Kistermaker (Punta de Couso, Galicia).
- Workshop of crystals with Imán (Ourense).
- Training course in tuning forks and Chinese medicine with Fabien Maman and Terres Unsoeld from the Tama-Do School: sound, colour and movement (Madrid and Switzerland).
- Shamanism and shamanic voice practices with Zacciah Blackburn (Madrid).
- Workshops of the dance of the 5 Rhythms with Alain Allard, Helena Barquilla, Sarah Pitchford, Deborah Jay-Lewin and Neda Nenadic among others (Madrid and Barcelona).
